When Sun and Mercury join (as they often do, never being more than 28° apart), thinking becomes an extension of identity. You express yourself through your ideas, identify with your mental processes.

This can make you articulate and direct in communication. It can also make it hard to separate your thoughts from your ego—criticism of your ideas can feel like criticism of you.

The gift is clarity of self-expression. The work is learning that you are more than your thoughts.
